Flexibility and independence with the WebVisu from CODESYS

Our project partners

LISSMAC Mechanical Engineering

LISSMAC Maschinenbau is the market leader for steel brushing, sanding and deburring machines for thin and thick sheet metal.

Christ Electronic Systems GmbH

Christ Electronic Systems GmbH is a leading manufacturer of panel PCs, touch panels and measuring devices.

Project description

The requirements of LISSMAC

  • Development of a new touch panel to "revolutionize the entire user experience"
  • Maintaining the familiar look and feel
  • Less dependence on key components - e.g. by linking the software libraries to specific manufacturers

Basis for the new product from Lissmac: A Christ panel from the "All-in-One/Touch PLC" product series.

Product features:

  • Visualize machine statuses in real time and control processes
  • Modular system: The display can be optimally adapted to the CI of the customer (Lissmac) and the requirements of the machine.

The solution with CODESYS

  • CODESYS ensures communication between the PLC and the touch panel via an OPC UA interface
  • CODESYS visualizes machine data
  • Remote access and CODESYS WebVisu: retrieving statistical and diagnostic data, uploading updates, rolling out updates during operation

The touch panel is now Linux-based:

  • More freedom and independence from device manufacturers
  • Independent of platform and device

Benefits thanks to CODESYS

With CODESYS, Lissmac was able to achieve maximum independence from device manufacturers. The development of a new user interface according to Lissmac CI was very simple. With WebVisu, diagnostic data can be called up globally and in real time via remote access.
