Software Developer for our Cloud-Based Engineering Team (m/f/d)

CODESYS is used in more than 1 million machines and systems worldwide. This makes us the market leader for hardware-independent control software in the field of industrial automation. To keep it that way, more than 200 employees work on the development and marketing of CODESYS at our offices in Kempten, Boston, Beijing, and Milan.

Your tasks:

  • Development of functions in both the frontend and backend of the web-based programming system CODESYS go!
  • Definition and refinement of a modern plug-in architecture
  • Development of unit tests and integration tests
  • Co-designing new functions as early as the specification phase in collaboration with product management
  • Exploring new technologies and working methods as part of a monthly research day

The Cloud-Based Engineering Team is working on the new web-based programming system CODESYS go! which, thanks to its client-server architecture, can be installed not only on a desktop but also directly on a Linux-based controller and in the cloud. In this way, we are expanding the classic application area of CODESYS and shaping the future of industrial automation. We use modern tools and technologies such as .NET 8, TypeScript, Angular and a range of innovative software libraries. The team implements the software solutions along mature GitFlow-oriented CI pipelines and works in an agile Scrum environment.

Your profile:

  • Degree in computer science or a comparable technical background
  • Good programming skills in C#, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Knowledge of Angular, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core or SQL is an advantage
