Das IO-Link Konsortium ist die Interessengemeinschaft für die erste, weltweit standardisierte IO-Technologie (IEC 61131-9)

The IO-Link Consortium represents the interests of manufacturers promoting the first standardized IO technology worldwide (IEC 61131-9) for the communication with sensors and also actuators. The powerful point-to-point communication is based on the long established 3-wire sensor and actuator connection without additional requirements regarding the cable material. So, IO-Link is no fieldbus but the further development of the existing, tried-and-tested connection technology for sensors and actuators.

CiA (CAN in Automation) is a non-profit organization aiming at the promotion of the CAN protocol in the automation world. ODVA (OpenDeviceNet Vendor Association) ist eine internationale Vereinigung.

ODVA (OpenDeviceNet Vendor Association) is an international association supporting network technologies based on the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP™). These currently include the network adaptations of CIP—EtherNet/IP™, DeviceNet™, ControlNet™, EtherNet/ IP™ and CompoNet™—and major application extensions to CIP—CIP Safety™, CIP Sync™ and CIP Motion™. ODVA manages the development of these open technologies, and assists manufacturers and users of CIP Networks through tools, training and marketing activities.
